Belief...

Its amazing what belief can do to a person- it can lead him/her up a wrong path or into a pseudo notion of how life is to be led, or actually transform a person in a strong believer in the ultimate force which governs us.

Take for instance some people who are happy maligning a social cause and the people, who are trying to do their bit in improving lives in India (refer to AID - Association for India's Development) or at another extreme where peoples lives have changed through the chanting of a mantra.
What is the connection between these two threads ? - u gessed it - BELIEF

In the first instance the volunteers are being challenged and asked to re-affirm their belief in a true, just social cause. Is this what some people do ? People, who let alone cant think for themselves, and want to force others into certain strains of thought ????
Isnt that worth pondering .....

While on the other hand, the power of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra has increased one person's BELIEF in the superior power. This mantra is supposed to dispel all evil and misfortunes. One friend mentioned at least 3 instances in which his family reverted to their belief in this mantra to heal sick people and ward off evil.

Further information on this mantra can be found at http://www.indoindians.com/religion/maha.htm.
Doesnt all this make us wonder where we want to take our beliefs??

Ponder and figure out where and how we are leading our lives...............

Lego Land.....

LEGOLAND.....Have I been there - not yet, but in the grand scheme of life wishes - sure need to go to there, preferrably the one in Billund, Denmark. Hopefully it will work out soon enuf..till then respite lies in buying LEGO........

I started playing with it when in school and dont think I have ever grown out of the fascination of building something out of beautifully detailed blocks.....But sadly the stuff available nowadays is what I would term as "ready to build stuff" for a lazy kid. No more are the blocks supplied for a "build from scratch mode" so it does get depressing...........but but I guess hope lies in searching for the rare sets which regularly come up for sale on the lego website " www.lego.com"

So if anyone comes across good train sets or city / airplane /ship stuff, let me know .....would really appreciate that. I have seen some good stuff on sale in Ebay- though its all europe-centric :(

Else life goes on as usual with me breaking my head over a site in Lee's Summit- Does anyone know where that is ?
Take a guess - thou shall score a point in the geography class :)

bloggin' away one's time

Looks like I too have fallen for what seems to be a preferred option for a selective few.
No idea how long this fascination will last but I guess its time to introduce myself to the world of BLOGGIN'
So what am I going to share in my first blog??
Nothing much - I guess cos my brain is muddled with a report on a site which is refusing to get done.....though what definitely is making me happy is my craving for INDO-CHINESE food.
So lets see where that craving takes me this evening........ :)
